Volg Digno en Julio Cesar!
Een feestelijke avond, mede mogelijk gemaakt door onze enthousiaste vrijwilligster Mariken Lenaerts, werkzaam op deze faculteit. Vanwege het internationale karakter van de faculteit was de voertaal Engels, hieronder volgt een kort verslag van een van de organisatoren:
" We are delighted to announce that the Charity Gala that took place on Saturday, 28th of May 2011 was a great success! This wonderful evening would not have been possible to organise without the personal support of dean AW Heringa and the financial support of the Maastricht Graduate School of Law for which we are very grateful. Moreover, we would like to thank the 50 guests who attended the Gala, and the contributors who supported the event. In total, about 2000 Euro were raised that will be donated to 'Mama Alice', a Dutch NGO, which provides shelter and education for street children in Ayacucho, Peru.
A jury of three PhD candidates had selected this charity to be sponsored by the Gala.
As the dean has stated in his toast, it would be fabulous if this Gala forms the start of a tradition and will be continued in the forthcoming years."
